You were my first crush as a kid in grade school..good old oakland park. I dont have to tell you that tho you knew :) I remember riding our bikes through oakland park headed to your birthday party, Rob Foster was with us I do believe and I wiped out big time on my bike. I was mortified since I was all girlied up for the party. You were a dear friend.

I just wrote a note about Ron Foster mentioning Mike ( from our old dancing days at Hupp's) and now I find Mike is gone too. They must be dancing in the wild yonder together. Those two guys (actually three counting Kerry Daugherity ) were tapping their feet from an age.
Gone too soon.

Mike, God I miss you. Growing up together next door was the best time of my life. I remembered a lot of the things we did tog. Like making a fallout shelter in your back yard. Picking on Ronny at times. Playing army, baseball, football;and other stuff. I'll always think of you as my best friend even though we grew up and went our ways. Love you always bro.

Mike Spencer SHS Class of 1969. I am so glad I had a chance to reconnect with you the the last two years of your short life. Enjoyed the beers and the conversation we had. You beat cancer once but this time it wouldn't let go. You are dearly missed by your family and friends. Say hello to my brothers from Nam. Tell them I'll see them again someday. Keep marching troop, for all of us. Your mom and I had this Granite Brick placed in the Plaza for you, so that when folks see it, they will think of the kind and gentle person you were... You are now walking among our brothers and God is saying, "Welcome Home"
